Avocado Berry Smoothie Bowl

Avocado Berry Smoothie Bowl

Hot day? Busy morning? Afternoon slump? Post-workout? This Avocado Berry Smoothie Bowl recipe is here to keep you cool and energized all day long. It’s fruity, refreshing, and packed with nourishing ingredients that hit the spot. Best of all, it’s topped off with a chocolatey crunch - Crunchy Toasted Chocolate Breakfast Lentils.

It’s the kind of bowl that is easy on the eyes, feels indulgent, but is actually packed with protein, fiber, and healthy fats to keep you feeling full and energized. Oh, and did we mention? It’s free of banana, dairy, gluten, soy, and all the major allergens. It’s a smoothie bowl all can enjoy!

Why You’ll Love This Bowl

Cold and creamy
Frozen berries, mango, and avocado blend up into the thickest, smoothest base.

Plant-based and allergen-friendly
It’s rare to find a smoothie bowl without nuts and bananas. To keep this smoothie bowl safe for most, it’s naturally banana-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free, nut-free, and egg-free, just like our lentils!

Protein boost
Our Crunchy Toasted Lentils add an additional 7 grams of protein!

That crunch, though
This is the part that takes it over the top. The Crunchy Toasted Chocolate Breakfast Lentils bring that deep, chocolatey crisp with a roasted, nutty vibe, without the nuts! It’s the kind of crunch that makes you start thinking, “What else can I put these on?”  (Hint: they're a snack on their own, and a great dessert topper.)

Sustainably sourced + water-savvy

Our lentils aren’t just good for you, they’re good for the planet too! Grown using significantly less water than nuts and many traditional protein sources, they’re a more sustainable, climate-conscious way to snack.

Let’s Make It

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Makes: 1 smoothie bowl
Equipment: Blender

What You’ll Need:

Smoothie Base

  • 1½ cups frozen mixed berries (we used blueberries, strawberries, cherries & pomegranate seeds)

  • ¾ cup frozen mango

  • ½ avocado, skin and pit removed

  • ⅓ cup unsweetened oat milk

  • 2 tbsp unsweetened protein powder

  • 1 tsp ground flaxseed

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • A dash of cinnamon

Toppings

  • ⅓ cup Crunchy Toasted Chocolate Lentils (by Lentil Telepathy)

  • 2 large strawberries, sliced

  • ⅓ cup fresh blueberries

  • 1 tbsp tahini, drizzled

  • Optional: add even more of your favorite toppings

Directions:

1. Blend your base.
Toss everything into your blender and blend until smooth. With minimal liquid, you might need to stop and scrape the sides a couple times to get that thick, scoopable texture.

2. Want it extra thick? (Optional)
Once blended, stick it in the freezer for 20–30 minutes. Then give it one last quick blend before serving.

3. Build your bowl.
Pour the smoothie into your favorite bowl. Top it with sliced strawberries, blueberries, and a generous handful of Crunchy Toasted Chocolate Lentils.

4. Drizzle + devour.
Finish with a swirl of tahini (or leave it without any drizzle, up to you) and dig in. Cold, creamy, crunchy, chocolatey—it’s all happening.

Final Thoughts

This isn’t just a smoothie bowl, it’s a total summer vibe in a bowl. Creamy, refreshing, and unexpectedly crunchy, it’s the kind of thing you’ll want to eat with the windows open and the sun pouring in. The combo of fruit, chocolate crunch, and optional tahini is “chef's kiss”.

Make it once, and you’ll be hooked. And if you’re smart, you’ll keep a stash of frozen fruit and Crunchy Toasted Chocolate Lentils on hand at all times. Just saying.
